China’s policy has always differed from the rest of the world. The country, with its communist government, does not officially endorse any religion and often appears to regard the world with suspicion. If we examine China’s policies and foreign affairs, it becomes evident that China is engaged in a race to prove its supremacy. This raises the question: does China want to become the next America?
United States of America
The United States is a superpower with significant influence, wealth, and a strong global image. America often plays a pivotal role in addressing global issues, wielding considerable power in technology, military, and economic sectors. The country is home to numerous technology companies with a global presence, and it upholds a policy of religious tolerance. Despite occasional domestic issues, the U.S. consistently leads the world as a superpower.
China’s Finance Game
In recent decades, China has been making extensive investments in companies across various sectors worldwide. Chinese government banks have also invested in government companies in other countries. China has provided loans worth trillions of dollars to countries both large and small, making it difficult for these nations to resist China’s influence or repay their debts. China’s foreign policy seems to be one of providing solutions and loans to countries in need, thereby placing them under its influence. If a country cannot repay the loans, it often falls under China’s control or faces severe financial consequences. Examples of countries affected by this include the Maldives, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. The question arises: does China see itself as supreme?
Border issues of China
Today, China competes globally in technology, military capabilities, and finance. It is largely self-reliant, from agriculture to weapons manufacturing and technology. This self-sufficiency is partly due to China’s geographical advantages. However, China has been known to encroach on the borders of neighboring countries, claiming disputed territories. This has led to increased tensions with neighboring countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal. Countries heavily indebted to China often find it challenging to resist China’s interference in their domestic affairs.
Soft Play of China
China has also fostered relationships with other countries through investments. It encourages Chinese companies to invest in various nations, sometimes leveraging these investments to gain influence over those countries’ governments. This approach suggests that China is striving to prove its supremacy. However, China struggles to exert similar pressure on wealthier or rapidly growing countries like India and Israel, as these nations are less susceptible to financial leverage.
Don’t play with powerful countries
For example, India, an Asian country, banned many Chinese apps a few years ago under strict technology regulations, which upset China. We believe that the global community should take similar actions to make China aware of its limitations. This post does not intend to criticize China or consider it an enemy. China is a diverse country with significant opportunities for economic and industrial growth. China has demonstrated its self-reliance by manufacturing various products domestically. However, China’s international actions often suggest a desire to become the next United States.D
